How We Met
You may be familiar with the old adage that weddings are the place to find lasting love, but in reality it’s not very common! Libby and Kevin did in fact meet at a wedding in August 2016 when an emboldened Libby offered to freshen Kevin’s drink. Conversation led to dancing, and sparks. were. flying. Although they did exchange numbers, Libby left for a trip to Europe and no one knew whether they would stay in touch. A few weeks later, however, Kevin reached out for a first date at Flatstick Pub in Seattle, and they’ve been in sync ever since! In March 2020, Kevin and Libby moved to West Seattle together – just in time for quarantine with their new beloved Ragdoll kitten, Louie.
Popping the Question
After five happy years of pub-hopping, coordinated outfits, golfing, traveling, and Louie-snuggling, Kevin decided it was time to take their celebrations to the next level. On August 1, 2021, Kevin surprised Libby with his grandmother's ring on a Kirkland dock as their families cried happy tears with balloons and champagne.
Through the years...
Let's face it, everyone who saw Libby & Kevin on the dance floor the night they met could sense the magic in the air. At the end of the evening, Libby's sister Maggie sent this silly video to their other sister Lucy to share in the excitement: "Oh Lucy, you missed a lot of gossip! Lubbus over here met a little Bubbus... wohaha!"
